Description
This repository contains extracted, individual pig calls labeled according to their context of production, collected as part of the project Soundwel (https://www.soundwel-project.eu/), and used in Briefer et al. 2022. It contains a total of 6888 calls produced by several hundred domestic pigs in 17 different context categories associated with negative or positive emotional valence. See Briefer et al. 2022 for details about the contexts and attributed emotional valence. The settings used to generate the spectrograms from the audio files are also included in the above publication.
Please note that the slaughterhouse recordings used in Briefer et al. 2022 could not be included in the repository due to usage restrictions.
