ESG KEY TO SUSTAINABLE REPORTING - AN IMPACT FACTOR ON PERFORMANCE OF NIFTY COMPANIES

This research papers aim is to find out the relationship between Financial performance(ROE), market performance(Toblin’s Q) and Business performance (ROA)of a company to environmental social Governance rating where return on equity ,Return on assets and Toblin,’s Q are considered as Dependent variables and environmental social governance rating ”ESG”is considered as Independent Variable. Companies with higher ESG rating is presumed to be more attractive for the Investors than the companies awarded with lower ESG rating. So the purpose of this research paper is to find out the impact of this ESG rating on Financial, Market and Business Performance of the companies. The findings show that there is no impact on financial performance due to ESG Factors
