Blockchain and Metaverse Strategies of Leading Indian Information Technology Companies

| With emerging disruption technologies like Blockchain and Metaverse, Indian I.T. companies need to revisit their strategic thinking to compete with their global counterparts and domestic startups to improve their service offerings. The technology duo offers an irresistible opportunity for the Tier 1 companies to compete strongly for a large pie in the Blockchain and Metaverse markets that are expected to grow at 56% and 47% CAGR, respectively. This paper examines the depth, capabilities, and how they build Blockchain technologies and the Metaverse competencies. The research uses descriptive research methods, qualitative techniques, and content analysis. The study proposes evaluating nine of the top ten Tier 1 I.T. companies and examines their offerings. Duly agreeing that the technology is in a nascent stage of mass adoption, the research results show that only three of the nine companies are mature enough to offer the services on a global scale and that the rest of the players need to up their skills in these innovative technologies. |
