Abstract: The author proposes a novel approach to contemplating emotions, referred to as ressen­timent. Feelings such as envy, jealousy, hatred, and revenge are all negative emotions that can lead to feelings of ressentiment. His definition of this concept brings a new perspective to the subject of emotions.
