Description
The objective of this study is the obtaining of hybrid polyester composites reinforced with glass fibers and sugarcane bagasse fibers, evaluating their mechanical and water absorption properties, focusing on the application in polymeric tiles. Initially, the natural fibers were treated in NaOH solution and the composites were produced in plates form, from which the specimens were cut. After performing the tests, the best hybrid composite was selected and compared with the composite with 100% synthetic fibers, so that it was possible to state that it is feasible to produce polymeric tiles with hybrid composites of fiberglass and fibers of sugarcane bagasse.
