Description
This research aims to investigate the shear behaviour of SRFC beams reinforced with longitudinal GFRP rebars without stirrups. Eight SFRC beams of dimensions (15x30x205) cm and various volume fractions of steel fibers (0, 0.5%, 0.75% and 1.0%) were cast, maintaining a constant shear-span-to depth ratio (a/d = 3.0) and compressive strength of 70 MPa. Three-point bending tests were conducted and vertical deflections were monitored using LVDTs. The study focused on evaluating the crack pattern, failure mode, and load-deflection behaviour. Additionally, the experimental shear capacity was compared with shear strength predictions obtained from different codes and models.
