Description

MARBEN database is a compilation of time series with marine (both shelf and deep-sea) benthic fossil assemblages
(with foraminifers or ostracods) with abundance or presence-absence data collected in the Cenozoic stratigraphic
successions (primarily from sediment cores). Each time series/sediment core is associated with an age model
cited in the original publication with source time series data or updated for a given sediment core later.
This output was supported by the Paleosynthesis Project and the Volkswagen Stiftung for funding that supported
the Biodeeptime project (Az 96 796) and by the Slovak Agency for Research and Development /APVV 22-0523/.

The object MARBEN has the following columns -
