Description
In this study, a composite slab is proposed with steel fiber reinforced self-compacting concrete and a corrugated glass fiber reinforced polymer deck, serving as permanent formwork and providing tensile reinforcement. A preliminary experimental investigation was conducted to evaluate its behavior with a four-point bending test in a 1800mm clear span. The initial detachment of the GFRP deck was the first stage of failure by longitudinal shear, reducing stiffness by initiating a relative slip, which resulted in a decrease of load capacity. The slab withstood a bending moment of 13.80 kN.m in the initial detachment and 21.73 kN.m at flexural failure, exhibiting a pseudo-ductile performance because its displacements until the end of the test.
