The influence of the morphological composition of solid municipal waste on their heat-technical characteristics is considered. Analytical and experimental methods of determining the heat of combustion of solid waste are reviewed. A significant influence of the morphological composition of solid waste on the results of determining their thermal characteristics by both analytical and experimental methods is shown. It is shown that the accuracy of determining the thermal characteristics of solid waste by the calorimetric method is significantly influenced by the formation of a relevant experimental weight according to the morphological composition of the original waste. The paper considers the possibility of using the KTS-4 bomb calorimeter to determine the higher heat of combustion of solid waste, and suggests a way to increase the accuracy of such studies.
