ON THE ISSUE OF WOMEN'S BEAUTY STANDARDS: EPOCHAL FEATURES FROM ANTIQUITY TO THE SECOND HALF OF THE XIX CENTURY
Description
The identification of socio-cultural phenomena that often underlie women's desire for beauty ideals has determined the relevance of this study. The aim of the work is to study the standards of female beauty, which were adhered to by European women from antiquity to the second half of the XIX century. Monographs, materials of scientific conferences, statistical data, articles of peer-reviewed scientific publications on history and cultural studies were used for the analysis.
