INVESTIGATION OF THE EFFICIENCY OF DSSC FOR SAFFRON EXTRACT
Description
This study used the soxhlet method to extract the saffron dye. TiO2 nanoparticles were produced by the hydrothermal method. The XRD peaks of the synthesized particles confirmed the mineralogical structure. Surface photographs of TiO2 were examined with SEM images. These images showed microsphere structures in close contact with each other. When the UV analyses of the saffron dye were examined, remarkable absorption behaviors were detected in the visible region. When the photovoltaic parameters of the produced dye-sensitized solar cell were examined, the photoelectric conversion efficiency (Ƞ), open circuit voltage (Voc), short circuit current (Jsc) and filling factor (FF) were found to be 0.007, 0.2 V, 0.081 mA/cm2 and 0.46, respectively.
