  • 1. Central Botanical Garden, Azerbaijan NAS

Description

The article was dedicated to the study of biochemical indicators and statical analysis of apple (Malus Mill.)
species fruit, introduced to the Absheron conditions. Objects of the investigation were apple fruit introduced
to the Central Botanical Garden. Fruit of the appple species were grouped according to their biochemical
indicators. The Past, MSTATC, SPSS.16. programs were used for the statistical analysis. Based on the
obtained data cluster analysis of the samples was performed using the Ward method with Euclid genetic
distance index. The species involved in the same cluster were found to be similar, while differing from
species of the other clusters. According to the studied traits of fruit, the acidity was variable in both
immature and mature plants. The correlation was established between qualitative traits. The dependence
between substances in immature and mature fruit was found. According to the obtained relts,
biochemically rich species can be selected and used in breeding.
