Study Of Physiologycal Traits And Activities of Enzymes Linked to Malate And Nitrogen Metabolism of GLRaV 3 Infected Grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) Leaves

  • 1. Institute of Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, Azerbaijan NAS

Description

During phytopathological surveys plant samples with grapevine leaf roll virus disease symptoms were
collected from Salyan, Ismayilli and Absheron regions. Detection of Grapevine leafroll-associated virus 3
(GLRaV-3) was detected in the collected symptomatic leaves using serologycal and molecular methods. At
the same time, activities of some enzymes linked to malate and nitrogen metabolism such as malate
dehydrogenase, aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase and changes in the content of
glycine betaine, soluble proteins, relative water content and dry biomass were also investegeted. It was found
that activies of NAD-MDH were increased during patogenesis compared to healthy plants and the activies of
two transferazes were reduced. It was also determined that virus infection caused an increase of glycine
betaine, content of soluble proteins, relative water content and decrease of dry biomass amount.
