Authors/Creators

Description

The subject of the study is implementation of the state policy on providing financial support to
enterprises of the agro–industrial complex of Ukraine.
The purpose of the article is to summarize the set of measures that constitute state support of
the agricultural sector of Ukraine and evaluate effectiveness of economic policy in this area.
Methodology. The research is based on the structural–logical method, which made it possible
to determine and classify ongoing measures of state financial support of agricultural enterprises in
Ukraine. The system method, as well as a number of general scientific methods – analysis, synthesis,
induction and deduction, graphical presentation of results – have also found their application.
Results. The article looks into state financial support measures for farms, agricultural enterprises
and manufacturers of agricultural engineering products in Ukraine. Programs and mechanisms
for providing support, their impact on production structure and international competitiveness of
agribusiness are analyzed. The tools of economic development in the framework of implementation of
the Law «On State Support of Agriculture of Ukraine», state programs «Affordable credits 5–7–9»
and «eRobota» in the field of agricultural support, as well as the program of partial compensation for
farmers for the cost of domestic agricultural machinery are analyzed.
Area of application. The results of this study can be used in preparation of information and
analytical materials on governmental financial support of the agro–industrial complex of Ukraine.
Conclusions. Agricultural industry is one of the most financially supported sectors of the Ukrainian
economy. The deployment of new government programs and support tools provided effective incentives
for revitalizing investment activity in the industry. However, the existing support focuses mainly on the
promotion of micro– and small entrepreneurship; and with the beginning of a large–scale military
invasion, those areas of support that formed the potential in the field of equipment and inventory production were suspended, which had adverse consequences for the agro–industrial complex in
terms of levels of processing and value added.
