Description
Measurement of velocity and turbulence at a point underwater through the use of converging acoustic doppler beams. Developed under work package 7 of the Selkie project, the C-ADP is a scientific instrument comprising of a lightweight triangular-shaped frame, 10m from corner to corner, with single-beam ADP units at each corner aimed at a focus point above the device and an automated air lift recovery system.

The Swansea University Self Recovery Instrument Frame (SUSRIF) can easily be modified to carry different instruments that require fixed distances from each other.
The information published as part of this release includes engineering drawings and documentation detailing the design and operation of the device.
