Causings and implications of Revenge Killings in South Sudan

After a very long time of war and fighting in South Sudan; People saw a ray hope after the signing of the peace agreement that would led to the nations independence, with this optimistic perspective was a dark cloud, that the nation had to address in order to ensure development in all areas holistically in all spheres of a nations social progress. There were other issues in the country of South Sudan that required immediate redress to ensure that the country's growth is spontaneous. the presence of tribal divide that has cut deep into the societal fabric of the country, the divide along tribal line after the independence in the country has resulted to unbalanced development in different region of the nation.
This ethnic or tribal divide has resulted into deep hatred among people in the communities and these hatreds has led to people committing impunities and crimes in the society against one another based on tribal lines and other personal perceived biases against each other in the community as a result of this, there is a vicious cycle of crimes committing as a result of revenge killings and vengeance executing be victims as a way of getting own justice.
A stream of revenge killings had swept across the entire nation of South Sudan. These acts by citizens have led to serious violation of human rights in the communities by people who believe that by taking law into their hands, they are delivering Justice that could be denied in the legal courts of law as by way of manipulation and compromises from legal officers and court personals. they therefore feel justified by taking the Law in their hands and deliver Justice for themselves.
Revenge killings have usurped the peaceful co existence of the people in the communities of South Sudan; It is against this that this paper seeks to address the causes and implications of revenge killings in South Sudan and also makes recommendation for development partners, agencies and governmental institutions to implement and make changes for the interest of national development.
