Description
This study uses the stearate decomposition method to synthesize small and weakly agglomerated nanoparticles of zinc-nickel ferrite (ZnxNi1-xFe2O4). The synthesis method's influence on magnetization properties has been investigated. Results show that single-phase ZnxNi1-xFe2O4 formation occurs at temperatures above 450°C and that cation distribution in the sub-lattice is random. The magnetic properties of powders with varying compositions exhibit magnetically soft behavior with changes in magnetic properties with increasing Zn concentration.
