The article characterizes the requirements for the personality of a music teacher, emphasizes the role of his professionally significant qualities for the implementation of highly professional work on the musical and aesthetic development of the younger generation; the peculiarities of the professional activity of a musician teacher are revealed, the complex of the most significant professional qualities of music teachers is determined, it is emphasized that the formation of these personal qualities will contribute to the development of high motivation of students of higher musical education for future professional activities
