Synthesis and Biological Activity of Some Haloanilido Pyrazoline and Isoxazoline Derivatives

Halogenoacetoacetanilide on condensation with aromatic aldehyde yielded the corresponding haloanilido \(\alpha,\beta\) -unsaturated ketones which on heating with hydrazine hydrate/phenylhydrazine and hydroxylamine hydrochloride gave the corresponding haloanilido pyrazoline and isoxzoline derivatives. The biological activities of the compounds were evaluated.
