DETERMINATION OF THE CONTENT OF SOME HEAVY METALS IN HAIR SAMPLES OF THE POPULATION AKHALTSIKHE AND ZESTAFONI BY THE METHOD OF DIFFERENTIALPULSED POLARGRAPHY
Authors/Creators
Description
The content of some heavy metals in the hair of residents of the cities of Akhaltsikhe and Zestafoni was determined by the method of differential-pulse polarography. It has been established that in almost all hair samples the copper content is below the norm established by the World Health Organization. The content of lead and cadmium in all samples does not exceed the maximum allowable concentration. As for zinc, its content in some hair samples exceeds the norm. However, in some samples, there is a deficiency, which is dangerous during the Covid-19 pandemic since zinc deficiency weakens immunity and increases the risk of getting sick with Covid-19.
