[ Abstract ]

[ This paper discusses how the integration of multiple factors in education has led to changes in the traditional frontiers of education. While STEM education has become a prominent field in education, some argue that it overemphasizes material and technical aspects and neglects cultural cultivation and interactions between individuals and society. Therefore, some education researchers advocate for “STEAM,” which includes art, to balance out the emphasis on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This paper argues that popular science programs can develop a mindset that makes science education more practical, and that the history of science and science, technology, and society (STS) can bring humanities into science education. This paper also suggests practical approaches for science education to move toward STEAM education from a philosophical perspective. ]
