Description
It has been revealed that benzo(a)pyrene is not only a background pollutant of the environment, but it is a highly toxic substance that easily enters the body of active and passive smokers through the respiratory tract. This substance is carcinogenic and causes intoxication, as well as various types of complex diseases. Degradation of benzo(a)pyrene in the environment occurs due to ultraviolet radiation, as well as exposure to photooxidants, primarily nitrogen oxides and ozone.
