Implementation of an AI-based Tool to Assess Student Engagement with Society: Lesson Learnt Report
Description
As part of the Qual-AI-ty project, a piloting exercise was conducted with a selected number of students to test the effectiveness and user experience of the chatbot developed in IO4. Piloting is the best methodology to test and validate new and disruptive ideas under real-time operating conditions. The aim of the Qual-AI-ty Engagement Pilot was to assess the feasibility, time, cost and performance of the project.
The pilot serves to test the project’s concept utilizing sparse resources to achieve results that would enable the detection of the main issues, gaps and risks in a cost-efficient manner. The main users, or target group, of the outcomes of the Qual-AI-ty project are quality assurance staff, as well as students and hence, the piloting was executed on a selected number of students in different Colleges and Universities for the Academic partners collaborating in this project. The pilot will have a high impact of the project as it will be the practical test of and will give significant insights to all IOs, which have been developed with application in mind, but without the actual real-life environment in which it shall operate.
