Description
Fidicinoides distanti (Goding, 1925) new record
Fidicina distanti Goding, 1925: 21.
Fidicinoides distanti Sanborn 2007a: 28.
The FSCA has specimens from Amazonas, Río Putumayo, Puerto Arica. The species has been reported from Ecuador, Venezuela and Brazil (Metcalf 1963a; Sanborn 2007a, 2008).
Material examined. “ COLOMBIA, Amazonas, Monkey Island, 22 IX 1979, M.A. Tidwell ” (one male, FSCA); “ COLOMBIA, Amazonas, Río Putomayo, Puerto Arica, at light 8:30PM, 9 July 1978, M.A. Tidwell ” (one male, AFSC); “ COLOMBIA: Rio Putomayo, Puerto Arica, 10-VII-1978, Mac A. Tidwell, Malaise Trap ” (one male, FSCA; one male, AFSC).
