This article touches upon the problems of improving the speech culture of students. It is known that one of the indicators of the level of culture, thinking, intellect of a person is his speech, which must comply with linguistic norms. It is in elementary school that children begin to master the norms of oral and written literary language, learn to use language tools in different communication conditions in accordance with the goals and objectives of speech.
