Description
Plants are important source of medicine. From time immemorial fern and fern allies are used as medicine in different cultural communities. Different plant parts such as leaf or rhizome are used for curing diseases has antimicrobial activity which is experimentally proved from time to time by different Pteridologists. Besides this pteridophytes also maintain the soil environment by their rhizome associated microorganisms which play important role in growth and establishment of plants in environment. Microorganisms produce various types of secondary metabolites and different types of enzymes which are commercially and industrially important .In the present study it is observed that leaves may have antibacterial activity and its associated rhizobacteria produces some enzymes which can be exploited further commercially.
