Description
Morphological adaptations were created in plants under adverse environmental conditions and it was ac-
companied by the appearance of certain varieties of forms-morphological and genetic polymorphism in
vegetative and generative organs. Preservation of the genefund of a species depends on the level of pheno-
typic variability. In this article modification variability observed in leaves of evergreen Quercus ilex L. intro-
duced in Azerbaijan was analyzed and studied by the mathematical methods: it was revealed that the maxi-
mum and minimum indications of norm of the reaction along and across the leaves are 10.50±1.46 cm,
Imin 3.50±1.46 cm; e-5.50-0.88 cm. -1.50-0.88 cm, respectively
