Description
The aim of the study was to determine the structure, clinical and rustiological features of the pathological
process, as well as to study the effectiveness of treatment of these patients. For this purpose, 62 patients with
drug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis were examined: bacterioscopic and bacteriological sputum exami-
nation, X-ray and CT examinations of the chest, Diaskintest, and to detect susceptibility to anti-tuberculosis
drug sputum examination by the GeneXpert method and sputum culture in the Levenshtein-Jensen nutrient
medium. The results of the study showed that MDR-TB of pulmonary tuberculosis occurred most frequently
(40% of all patients) among the drug-resistant forms of tuberculosis. As a result of complex, intensive
treatment of patients with drug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis, a relatively rapid cessation of bacilli was
observed in patients with mono-resistant, and in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis with MDRTB and
XDR TB-late cessation of bacilli. Earlier closure of the decay cavities in patients with drug-resistant pul-
monary tuberculosis was observed in patients with mono-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis, and more recently
in patients with MDR and XDR forms.
