Confocal data of Lobatihelota spp.

This dataset contains the raw confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) slices for holotypes of Lobatihelota lescheni (NIGP200735) and Lobatihelota iridescens (NIGP200736). Additional confocal data for Trihelota fulvata (NIGP173378) are also provided. This dataset is associated with the publication "An unusual lineage of Helotidae in mid-Cretaceous amber from northern Myanmar (Coleoptera: Nitiduloidea)" (DOI:10.1071/IS23004).

Confocal images were obtained with a Zeiss LSM710 confocal laser scanning microscope, using the 488 nm (Argon; for L. lescheni and L. iridescens) or 561 nm (DPSS 561-10; for T. fulvata) laser excitation line. The original CZI files are provided, which could be opened by the ZEISS ZEN software.
