TCV-X21-GENEX: influence of collisions on the validation of global gyrokinetic simulations

Description
This repository contains the data that supports the findings of the study that is published in P. Ulbl et al., Phys. Plasmas 30, 052507 (2023). Three global electromagnetic gyrokinetic simulations of the TCV-X21 case have been performed. A collisionless (No Coll) simulation, one with a Bhatnagar-Gross-Krook (BGK) collision operator and one with a Fokker-Planck type Lenard-Bernstein/Dougherty (LBD) collision operator.
For getting started, please consider the README file provided in this dataset. The Jupyter notebook herein provides a low level entry on how to access the data from the netCDF file. The zip files contain sets of input parameters that are given for future reference.
