Bioecological Characteristics of Zander-Sander Lucioperca (Linne, 1758) In The Small Gizilagach Bay of South Caspian

  • 1. Azerbaijan Research Institute of Fisheries

Description

In 2009-15 in the Small of Bay South Caspian during the ichthyological research, 119 species of zander-
Sander lucioperca (Linne, 1758) were caught. Their bioecological characteristics (length, weight and body
fatness, age composition, length etc.) were identified. Due to the significant impact of zander, which is a
predatory fish, on population dynamics of peaceful fishes, the regulation of its reserve is of great importance.
To this end, the development of spinning recreational fishing in the bay is proposed.
