Dataset for the input-output calculations to evaluate bioaccumulation factor (BAF) and bioaccumulation index (BAI) in comparison with true element retention rate in black soldier fly larvae (BSFL). The results suggest a higher agreement of true element retention rate with BAF than with BAI. https://doi.org/10.3920/JIFF2023.0021
