Description

The presentation entitled "Monitoring Crop Water Productivity in the Mitidja Plain, Algeria using FAO WaPOR Data and QGIS" exemplifies the ways in which QGIS can be leveraged to analyze WaPOR data through the use of two plugins, thereby facilitating access to valuable information. The data are subsequently utilized to gain deeper insights into the complex relationship between crop productivity and the quantity and quality of groundwater employed for irrigation in the Mitidja Plain, situated in the northern region of Algeria. This innovative approach represents an initial step towards ensuring the sustainability of resources and improving water crop productivity in the area.
