A general framework to quantify and compare ecological impacts under temporal dynamics

  • 1. University of Fribourg

Description

Application of our framework to quantify impacts to the Devil Facial Tumor Disease (DFTD) affecting Tasmanian devils (see paper for a full description).

This deposit consists of three files:

1) The R script "inference_negBinom.R" that conducts the Bayesian inference outlines in the paper and generates all plots shown.

2) The csv file "spotlight_data.csv" that contains the raw count data used for this study. It was taken from Cunningham, C.X., Comte, S., McCallum, H., Hamilton, D.G., Hamede, R., Storfer, A., et al. (2021). Quantifying 25 years of disease-caused declines in Tasmanian devil populations: host density drives spatial pathogen spread. Ecol. Lett., 24, 958–969

3) The RData file "mcmcRunsNegBinom.RData" containing the full MCMC chains used.
