Universalization of education and emphasizes on quality education are the two factors which India is striving
for to achieve to the maximum. The need for more application based education rather than content enrichment
enables students to develop critical and analytical thinking, problem solving skills, innovation and uniqueness.
Pedagogy must thus evolve to make education more experiential, holistic, integrated, learner centric,
pleasurable, and flexible as per the needs of the learners. This research paper deals with the role of nongovernmental
organization (Inner Wheel, District 314, Zone 3), in promoting NEP 2020 through skilled based
experiential learning to the unreached. It prepares women for some skills based training and help them to form
self-help groups or to get a job in the area of the skill trained. The skills can trigger an “earn while you learn”
interest in the learner. 50 deprived women were selected for the purpose of the study and were trained in two
vocational skilled based training and were given three months of rigorous training by Inner Wheel Club, District
314, and Zone 3. It was found that after the training, which is the major component of NEP 2020, the women
had some skill at hand. Some of them were recruited in companies and others preferred to start their business
at home. Their self-esteem increased and helped them to get a feed their family better.
