Description

The article is dealt with the importance of culture in developing second language awareness. Students’ identification with, and maintenance of their native language and culture can have a positive influence on learning a second culture, more specifically, on learning English as a second language. The process of acquiring a second language is the process of transcreating one culture into another. Culture, a vibrant resource, represents hidden curriculum in second language teaching. The present study explores that language and culture are inseparable that constitute a single universe we experience.
