Description
Characterization of materials at interfaces includes also transfer processes taking place there. This is an ubiquitous phenomenon in the environment, technical processes, and living species. Because at least one of the two phases at the interface is mobile, these processes are characterized by a complex interplay between molecular diffusion and turbulent transport. In this paper, a new technique is introduced for fluorescence imaging of the mass transfer across the air-water interface.
