Symbiont-host interactome mapping reveals effector-targeted modulation of hormone networks and activation of growth promotion

Functions used to calculate the random likelihood of intraspecies and interspecies convergence of effector proteins targeting host proteins. The functions work by simulating random binding between effectors and a set of host proteins, and compares the simulated number of unique targets to that in an observed set, usually identified by Yeast 2 Hybrid.
