A New Ratio Type Estimator for Double Sampling with Two Auxiliary Variables

- In this paper, we propose a new ratio type estimator for double sampling with two auxiliary variables. The expressions for bias and mean square error (MSE) of the proposed estimator have been obtained. Some realistic conditions have been obtained under which the proposed estimator is more efficient than the usual unbiased well-known existing estimators of double sampling using two auxiliary variables for population mean and it was found to be more efficient in many situations.
