A year after the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus, which has claimed millions of lives so far, education has been changed dramatically with the rise in e-learning. However, COVID-19 has resulted in educational institutions shut all across the world. Globally, over 1.2 billion children have been out of the classroom. The pandemic has not only affected education but also affected the different sections of the society as a whole that includes health and hygiene, drinking water and sanitation and many more. The virus that causes COVID-19 has not been detected in treated drinking water but still, major issues are there in society during this outbreak. It is important to realize that COVID-19 has initially happened in well-developed nations that have achieved the so-called health transition. However, the virus does not differentiate between rich and poor. It is particularly a threat to a country like India, where 6568% of the population lives in rural areas that also have the highest overall burden of disease globally. The issues covered in this book have practical and policy significance all over the world. It is expected that this book will certainly be very effective if the Governments and Educational Institutions to take remedial actions by following the suggestions of its writers. However, constructive suggestions are welcome for improvement in next edition.. Furthermore, we express our heartfelt gratitude to all paper contributers, reviewers and Bharati Publisher, New Delhi for cooperation in publishing this book.
