ŠTANDARDIZOVANÉ POROVNÁVANIE ROVNÍC NA STANOVENIE LDL CHOLESTEROLU – METODICKÁ ŠTÚDIA
Description
LDL cholesterol (LDL-C) can be obtained by direct measurement or calculation from other, measured parameters, most commonly total cholesterol (TC), HDL cholesterol (HDL-C) and triglycerides (TAG). If the subject of the comparison of two LDL-C methods, reference measurement procedure and candidate measurement procedure, is the comparison of two calculated methods, this comparison can be performed not on quantities obtained from real patients, but on an artificially created synthetic data set with such compiled parameters that meet both the criterion of reality and ideal mathematical-statistical criteria.
In this methodical study we describe the method of creating an synthetic data set composed of TC, HDL-C and TAG with the required parameters. We point out the differences between real files and the artificial file, and finally we compare several methods for determining LDL-C on an artificial file with Martin equation as reference with Sampson equation, Friedewald equation and
Cordova equation.
