Description
This repository contains the codes of the WRF model incorporating with the 3-Dimensional Sub-grid terrain Solar Radiative Effect (3D STSRE) scheme (Huang et al., 2022).
To incorporate the 3D STSRE scheme into the WRF model needs 2 steps. Firstly, the 3D STSRE parameters at the model grid need to be calculated before the model integration. Then, the original surface solar radiation components are corrected using these parameters during the model integration. Here, the codes for including the 3DSTSRE scheme in the WRF model are presented.
Descriptions for the routines:
1. Define the 3D STSRE parameters:
Registry/Registry.EM_COMMON
2. Read in the 3D STSRE parameters:
module_wps_io_arw.F; module_first_rk_step_part1.F
3. Call the parameters and correct the original surface solar radiation fluxes:
module_radiation_driver.F; module_ra_cam.F
"revised by xscai" is labeled at the changes to the original codes.
