REVIEW ON AYURVEDIC PRODUCT: SPECIAL FOCUS ON SKIN CARE PRODUCT.

Ayurveda is based on 3 principles PanchamahabhutaSidhhanta, Tridosha, Guna Rasa ViryaVipakaPrabhavaSidhhanta.Charak and Sushruta made significant contribution to Ayurveda. By Balancing tridoshas Ayurveda maintain the health of skin. The human skin plays significant role in physiological functions of sensation, protection and thermoregulation. The procedures of skin care given in the Ayurvedic classics are purely natural and they improve the skin health as compared to modern cosmetic products. Ayurvedic skin care products having a various therapeutic properties and are used for treatments of condition such as photosensitivity, ageing, finelines, wrinkles, dark spots, etc.A Large number of Ayurvedic product have been developed for skin care e.g. Asava – Arista, Avaleha. Paste, Natural Powder, Lepa.Some  medicinal plants used in skin care are aloevera, turmeric, ginger, neem,etc. They can be sold as tablet, powder, gels, sunscreen,creams, teas,etc. They are safe and effective. Many chemicals and synthetic ingredients used in many skin care product can causes variety of undesirable side effects.This review present the concept of Ayurvedic product which are natural and chemical free have number of benefits and healing repairing effects on skin.Ethnobotanical dermatology in India confirms the belief that their analysis will accelearate the discovery of new effective therapeutic agents for skin care.
