Jawâhir-aldhât.

The only complete copy, as yet known, of Farîd-aldîn ‘Aṭṭâr’s Jawâhir-aldhât or Jauhar-i-Dhât (see above, No. 1031, 17), in three daftars.

First daftar, on fol.1^b, beginning: بنام آنكه نور جسم و جانست الخ.

Second daftar, on fol. 162^b, beginning:

تعالى الله ازين ديدار پر نور

كه در ذرّات عالم گشت مشهور

Third daftar, on fol. 335^b, beginning:

بنام كردگار فرد بيچون – كه مارا از عدم آورد بيرون

This third and last daftar bears also the special title of Hailâjnâma (هيلاج نامه), which is chiefly devoted to the divine mysteries revealed by the famous martyr of Ṣûfic lore, Manṣûr Ḥallâj (or rather Ḥusain bin Manṣûr Ḥallâj, who was put to death A.H. 309 =A.D. 922, see the Safinat-alauliyâ, No. 211); another complete copy of this extremely rare poem is contained in No. 1048 below; a defective copy of the same is described in Rieu ii. p. 577^a; it is printed in the Lucknow edition of the Kulliyyât, pp. 583-770.

Dated A.H. 1139 (A.D. 1726, 1727), by Ḥâjî Muḥammad Ḥayât, of Banâras; it belonged formerly to the College of Fort William (1825).
