D1.1 Scenarios and Use Cases

In the current document the scenarios and use cases that will drive the testing and validation program are defined according to the introduced methodology. A list of hazards (i.e. Flood, Earthquake, Fire, Industrial accident, Terror attack) is considered and each overarching scenario is defined to address one of them describing a disaster which is originated naturally or it is man-made. Each use case is addressing a scenario, while more than one use cases may address the same scenario. A set of actors are involved in the evolution of events described in each use case while each use case targets specific goals to accomplish facilitated by specified INGENIOUS tools and services. The pathway to a more elaborated description of the use cases is provided. Furthermore, a first introduction to the validation and testing methodology is given along with the planning for the laboratory (LIT) and field (SST, FSX) tests which will consider and illustrate the use cases described.
