Mind the gap: creating a pathway for post-doctoral researchers to gain teaching experience

Postdoctoral researches often struggle to find suitable teaching experience, despite it being seen as advantageous or vital for career progression in academia. Here I describe some tactics for supporting postdoctoral career progression through a postdoctoral mentoring scheme which aims to help postdoctoral researchers find opportunities to gain teaching experience, build their confidence and help them acquire Higher Education Academy (HEA) accreditation. Published in THE Campus.
