Test Sample Specifications

  • Nominal Capacity = 3400 mAh
  • Graphite / NCA 
  • 18650 Cell 

Cycling Protocol - Normal (N) Voltage Window

  • Charge: CCCV at C/2 up to 4.2 V and a 50 mA cutoff current 
  • Discharge: CC at C/2 down to 2.7 V

Cycling Protocol - Reduced (R) Voltage Window

  • Charge: CCCV at C/2 up to 4.0 V and a 50 mA cutoff current 
  • Discharge: CC at C/2 down to 2.9 V

Cycling Life

Capacity fade and number of cycles are included in the filename.

Example:

  • File = 'Ba01_N20_OV1_300.xls'
  • N20 = 20% Capacity fade under the normal voltage window
  • Number of Cycles = 300

 

Notes

N stands for normal voltage window R stands for reduced voltage window OV indicates the cell was overcharged at the end of the aging test EX indicates the cell was externally shorted at the end of the aging test
