For most societies, this age stage is characterized by the appearance of children. Raising children, generically referred to today as parenting, is obviously the oldest human vocation and the most common function during youth. Today, parenting is the domain of public policies, inciting debates, legislative decisions and international scientific meetings.
Analyzing the historical evolution of parenting, we notice that the parent-child relationship has gone through ups and downs, reaching its peak at the present time.
