Flow over rough topography. A preliminary study with high resolution topography at Ormen Lange.

Description
A sigma coordinate model wit resolution of 4 m - which is extremely high for such models - is employed to investigate flow at average depths of 670 m. Simulation show a realistic response, using high horizontal viscosity. Up to 20 % amplification of the imposed flow was predicted over the topography.
