Magneto-shear instability: a local Newtonian analysis

Mathematica notebook for calculating the dispersion relation of a Newtonian magneto-fluid in a background with shear and vorticity. 

The dispersion relation is written in terms of scalars built from the background quantities, as suitable for studying the impact of background gradients in a general setting.
